Career Summary:

Coach Anderson is in her second year as the head cross country coach at Bridgeport High school. She also coached the distance runners in track last season before being promoted to the head girls track coach for the 2024 season.

Coach Anderson graduated from Perrin-Whitt high school in 1989, and continued her running career on a full scholarship to Texas Tech university, where she competed in the 400m, 800m, Triple Jump and cross country. She received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science with a health minor. Later she received her master degree in Instructional Technology from Texas A&M-Texarkana.

Since 1993, Sandy has had numerous regional and state qualifying runners in both Cross Country and Track. She took 10 years off from coaching, where she worked in corporate- America in the oil and gas industry while raising her daughter. This allowed her to watch Jordyn play high school sports and finish with 5 years of college softball at Texas A&M-Texarkana.
